This much travel isn't going to help shrug off the biggest, fastest rock gardens like a V10 downhill race bike, but it's going to feel like you've got a V10 under the hood of your motor when it comes to freeway freestyling miles. - Traction and big hits For 5010, we wanted to balance support and grip to maximize the bike's descending and big-hitting capability. We started with a significantly less anti-squat (than the previous generation 5010) to provide sensitive, ground-tracking qualities and reduced pedal kick. - Support and playfulness We gave the 5010 a very straight, highly progressive leverage curve to give the rider plenty of predictable support, bottom-out resistance, and playful response. This means the travel is accessible and higher impacts aren't as jarring as you'd expect from a short-travel bike.

Chainstay length and seat angle are matched to the frame size (STA steepens and rear center grows as frame size increases) so that every rider, no matter what height, gets the same balance of geometry and handling characteristics. We tailor stiffness for every size to ensure everyone gets the same ride quality. Bigger riders mean greater stresses on larger frames, but that's remedied with our size-specific frame stiffness tunes. - VPP™ VPP™ stands for virtual pivot point - an engineering principal synonymous with high performance that spans from short travel platforms like the Tallboy right up to our DH World Cup-winning V10. - 120mm VPP™ Travel Some call 120mm "short travel", others call it all the travel you'll need. The Tallboy is an efficient XC pedaler with a geo and shock tune that makes it way more capable than the millimeters suggest. - Snappy Suspension The Tallboy has a lower starting ratio and an increased ending ratio of the leverage curve. This makes it really sensitive further into the travel and helps the bike ride higher in its stroke, producing a more responsive, snappy feel. - Bump Buster Significantly reducing peak anti-squat (over previous generations of the Tallboy), has improved both small bump sensitivity and square-edge compliance. And, because anti-squat values trend with ant-rise, we were also able to reduce the anti-rise to improve the braking sensitivity. - Glovebox: Always Within Reach Place your ride essentials securely in the Tallboy's downtube.
